Lucens.

Lucens was my final-year project—a conceptual app developed as part of the Entrepreneurship module. The brief: build a unique product or service with a clear market need and a purpose-driven design. I created Lucens, a mental wellness networking app for socially awkward or anxious individuals, allowing them to connect and communicate in a safe, judgment-free space.

Concept:
Named after the Latin word Lucens (meaning "glowing with light"), the app was designed to be a digital sanctuary—calm, supportive, and free of the social pressures that often come with image-driven platforms. Users can choose their mood and preferred language, then get matched with others feeling the same way, encouraging authentic conversations. No profile pictures, no videos—just meaningful interaction through carefully curated prompts, gentle design, and mood-based connections. The entire concept focused on mental health, trust-building, and emotional safety in the digital age.
